Exquisite magazine (the parent company of the ELOY Awards Foundation) has been consistently organising the ELOYs since 2009, to celebrate, recognize and empower women in different fields to inspire and motivate others.

The aim of the ELOY Awards and Conference is to recognize and empower Nigerian women, their achievements and roles in the society, to increase the economic visibility of women in Nigeria, to create a platform for networking, hence enhance communication links to encourage women and to support the work being done by women and organizations that supports women.

The ELOY Awards Foundation was launched with the primary aim to empower low income women business owners through partnerships for access to grants and affordable finance, entrepreneurial training, mentoring and networking for sustainable empowerment.

The ELOY Awards Foundation is about empowering and challenging thousands of women to be more and do more by providing access to resources, business skills and tools for them to be able to  grow, transform and sustain their businesses, which will in turn benefit their families and the community at large.

Impact of the ELOY Awards Foundation so far;

  • The ELOYs have been awarded to 225 women to date, who have gone on to be better at what they do.
  • The ELOY Awards foundation has awarded grants to women business owners and we have trained 40 women to date given them access to mentors, affordable finance, networking opportunities and more.
  • It has increased motivation in all women as everyone wants to be nominated for an ELOY at one point during their career or business.
  • Improved self development in awardees and nominees, have gone on to make a huge impact in their sector.
  • A platform that has helped identify excellence in the creative and business sectors that have gone on to become house hold names (Eno Essien, Sisi Yemmie, Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay, Olamide, Korede Bello to mention a few)
  • ELOY Awards Foundation continues to recognise categories and identifies industries where people think women are not active or striving in.

In 2019, 40 women were chosen to be part of the ELOY Foundation Sustainable Empowerment Program (SEP) 2019/2020. This gave them Six months access to mentors and a year of trainings and due to the pandemic, online networking and webinars were organised.

All 40 have completed the ELOY Awards Foundation Sustainable Empowerment program and this was celebrated at an end of cycle ceremony recently held in Lagos. It was a small gathering of some of the exquisite business owners on the program to be covid compliant.

Criteria for ELOY Foundation Grant & Sustainable Empowerment Program (SEP)

A woman in a registered business for at least 1 year

All women will have the opportunity to join the ELOY Foundation Network. This gives them yearly access to information on trainings, networking events, information on affordable finance and more.

To join the ELOY Foundation Network, simple register with a yearly membership fee of N10,000. The business owner will be listed on our database, business directory and have regular emails about trainings, networking events, affordable finance, free legal advise, quarterly business clinics and more.
